Flicker Fund: Direct Support for Crisis Impacted Indigenous Communities

On February 4, 2021, Seventh Generation Fund hosted the Voices Around the Circle Flicker Fund: Direct Support for Crisis Impacted Indigenous Communities. Designed for emergency response, SGF’s Flicker Fund rapidly responds to the frontlines of crisis-impacted Indigenous communities.

As the pandemic became global, our organization could not foresee its impact over the next year. We did act quickly, however, by distributing critical supplies and resources into vulnerable Indigenous communities. The Flicker Fund has a life beyond the COVID-19 pandemic and fundraising remains critical. This virtual event featured Seventh Generation Fund’s implementation of the Flicker Fund and gives prudence to the future of this work – such as crisis-recovery. We are honored to highlight community partners and organizers on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic and climate fires.
